ORANG YANG BERIMAN ( The Forgiver ), Revealed At : Makkah
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
'Afalam Yasīrū Fī Al-'Arđi Fayanžurū Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Kānū 'Akthara MinhumWa 'Ashadda Qūwatan Wa 'Āthārāan Fī Al-'Arđi Famā 'Aghná `Anhum Mā Kānū Yaksibūna
Maka apakah mereka tiada mengadakan perjalanan di muka bumi lalu memperhatikan betapa kesudahan orang-orang yang sebelum mereka. Adalah orang-orang yang sebelum mereka itu lebih hebat kekuatannya dan (lebih banyak) bekas-bekas mereka di muka bumi, maka apa yang mereka usahakan itu tidak dapat menolong mereka.
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in impression on the land, but they were not availed by what they used to earn.
